First UMC creates many opportunities for every person to fully achieve a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. Here are some of those opportunities:
Worship is a sharing of praise and prayer each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Sunday School gathers each Sunday by age level at 9:30 a.m.
UMW (United Methodist Women) meets in three fellowship circles through the week and holds a monthly UMW gathering.
Higher Ground meets during the school year, each Wednesday beginning at 5:30 for a light meal, and then moves into several small group Bible studies, Music groups, and Student Ministries.
Music Ministry groups gather to sing and play: Chancel Choir; Praise Band; Bell choir; Children's choirs; Youth choir.
Bible Study gatherings are held throughout the week and on Sunday mornings; there are many opportunities to explore and discover God's Word together.
Prayer Groups there are several gatherings for prayer taking place throughout the week. Specifically, a men's prayer group meets every Thursday 6:30 AM at the Broiler Restaurant and a women's prayer group meets every Monday at 1:00 PM in the UMC Family Room. Additionally, our Prayer Chain makes phone calls to anyone who wants to be part of our prayer ministry and our Facebook Group keeps members up to date regarding Prayer Requests. Committees and Teams for Ministry gather throughout the month; ministry is planned and carried out by many dedicated committees and teams. Join one today!
Volunteer Activities happen on a regular basis; find out what skills and talents are needed to help the church stay vital and functional.
"Loving One Another" Ministries include Share and Care; Good Samaritan; Helping Hands; and the Breadbasket Sharing Sundays; these are ways we care for members of our community.
Special Events include: Enjoying Lakeside S'mores Event; Vacation Bible School; Ash Wednesday Service; Holy Week Services and Gatherings; The Living Last Supper; Hanging of the Greens; Christmas Eve
